Many of the
studies rely upon a representative cross-section of the
community therefore for some studies participants are recruited
randomly through the electoral roll, while others are previous
attendees of earlier studies. Recently all school-aged children in the
Shire were also given the opportunity to participate in the latest
major survey in 2005 - 2007. As the scope of the studies
expand
in Busselton there is every
chance new residents of the shire will be invited to participate in the
future.
Can I assist the
Busselton Health Studies as a volunteer?
Volunteer
staff are always welcome and often assist with office and clerical work
and some of the non-technical aspects of data collection. Community
input into fundraising activities and promotion of the study are also
welcomed. The Busselton Health Study Action Group has been set up for
these purposes. To become involved as a volunteer please
