The Equipment Sponsorship Programme sees the Busselton Health Study Action Group seeking financial support from the Corporate Sector, Service Clubs and Community Groups to help fund both general office and specialised medical research equipment for use in the forthcoming study. Nearly $40,000 is needed to secure all the necessary items in addition to staffing costs and volunteer services. As many as 70 volunteers have supported the studies in the past and similar numbers will need to be called upon again, anyone wishing to register can contact Elspeth Inglis on 9727 1148.

Specialised equipment including Stadiometers (height measurement), advanced technological devices such as Medgraphics systems (for spirometry and allergy testing) and computer software, play a huge role in undertaking these vital research projects. In some cases a business may be in a position to donate actual items, such as desks, chairs, fridges and freezers, as in-kind sponsorship.

Apart from the fantastic sponsor benefits offered in the packages, supporters of the Equipment Sponsorship Programme will find it very rewarding donating funds towards a tangible item and are able to see first hand the benefit the equipment brings to this research.
